So, my newfound maturity has vanished rather mysteriously.
I cannot believe Federer lost. It was such a tense five-setter with two rain delays, but I ask you this- why on earth did Fed get out of those tie breaks alive if he had to lose in the fifth set? Why? WHY? How unfair is that? There is just no justice in the world anymore.
Anyway, two thoughts floated across my benumbed brain when the prize distribution was about to start:
[1] I hope Federer doesn't act all smiley this time, and calls Nadal a mean monkey.
[2] If Nadal eats the trophy this time, I'm gona howl.
I was disappointed on both counts. Roger was his usual happy self (yeah, he won me all over again :D) and Nadal 'ate' the trophy TWICE for fairly long periods of time. The glimmering, polished, shiny, beautiful golden trophy. I won't blame Roger if he never wants to touch it again, but I do hope he won't let this deter him.
And now I'm going back to hunting for a nice Federer poster for my room.

I still refuse to believe that Fed lost. I mean, that's just..uh. Not possible. Even I thought he was gonna lose after the first 2 sets. Then I thought he'd take the last one easily. And then he just lost. Insane match.
Why, why does Nadal eat the trophies? I bet they don't give him food at home. I bet Fed's gonna wear gloves if he wins it next time.
Ooh, and now that you're hunting for a Fed poster, can you pleeeaase buy a Green Day one for me if it's available nearby? :P

Dont worry, darlin' Fed neednt worry his pretty head with the 'germs' they don't obviously give out the same trophy every year and then take it back to give it out the next year!

And I dunno, I think they both played really well, both deserved to win. I think it's fair to say that. And it was dark during those last games, Nadal was serving so he obviously had an advantage, and Fed isn't the kind to go on a complaining spree. He's a nice man.

People want to become what they are inherently not capable of being.
Federer has this aura of a 'nice guy'. Clean cut face, smart looks and all that stuff. On the other hand, RAFA looks deadly, biceps all bulging and rippling, long hair...basically the anti-thesis to Federer. And since u just said that i am a nice guy, maybe precisely thats y i support rafa.
And maybe i am a creep and am typing all crap stuff.

I was sad to see Federer lose too. But more because I don't like baseliners winning the at the Serve and Volley Mecca. It was an amazing match, though. Either of them could have won; you couldn't say who was the better player. And the fourth set tiebreak!
Being a Federer supporter, all you can do is blame the grass which has gotten slower and the darned officials for making the balls bigger and thus favouring baseliners. It was one thing when Borg won five on a trot and when Agassi won in '92. But when idiots like Hewitt get the trophy and the likes of Nadal (who I support at Roland Garros incidentally) beat FedEx, you've got to feel for Ivan Lendl. Grass, much to my chagrin, is no longer for cows. Though Nadal's game was rather bovine, er divine.
